Since its establishment in the spring of 2023, the IT Coalition has raised €157 million to support Ukraine. Of this amount, €99 million has already been provided in software and support, including €87 million from SAP licenses, according to the Ministry of Defense.
The latest meeting of the IT Coalition took place in Amsterdam, marking the first in-person gathering of its members. Since the coalition's inception, Ukraine has received new supplies from Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
The coalition has accumulated €70 million from direct investments—including €10 million from the Netherlands—and €87 million from Germany through SAP licenses. Cybersecurity remains one of the key focus areas of the coalition's work.
"Deliveries from the IT Coalition will directly strengthen our cybersecurity, even as Russian attacks on our cyber infrastructure continue. These supplies will also help scale up projects at the Center for Innovation and further promote the SAP system within the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said Katerina Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense.
Coalition participants discussed the implementation of their roadmap, current procurement processes, and the needs of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces for developing IT infrastructure. In addition to securing funding through the end of 2024, the IT Coalition is focusing on accelerating the delivery of supplies to Ukraine.
"Our goal is to provide more equipment quickly to gain the technological advantage that can be leveraged on the battlefield," stated Tuuli Duneton, Deputy Minister of Defense of Estonia.
The IT Coalition, which includes Estonia and Luxembourg, is one of eight capability coalitions within the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. It aims to support Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces in the areas of IT, communications, and cybersecurity.
The coalition comprises 14 regional partners and Ukraine. Finland and Spain joined the coalition in September, and several more countries are expected to become members soon.
