Business revenues were $4.84 billion, a little less than in all of 2020 — $5.03 billion.
The number of private entrepreneurs specializing in computer and information services has also increased. Between 2020 and 2021, their number increased by 40%. The number of IT companies providing computer services grew by 22%, and the number of IT companies providing intelligence services by 10%. The more significant part of Ukrainian IT companies is e-commerce, enterprise, and finance fields.
There are more than 205.000 IT specialists in Ukraine. This is 1.13% of all Ukrainians working. Ukraine produces about 23.000 new IT graduates a year.
According to various data, in Ukraine, from 3000 to 5000 IT companies. As the Ukrainian government states, there are currently 1.142 program-producing companies and 858 service companies. More than 100 companies on the world’s ranking of the largest companies Fortune 500 used Ukrainian outsourcing services. More than 100 R&D companies in Ukraine either own or collaborate with such giants as Google, Samsung, Siemens, and Huawei.
The share of IT in all exports of Ukrainian services reached 38%. At the beginning of 2020, it was 24%.
In 2020-2021, the number of IT companies also increased: those providing computer services expanded by 22%, those providing information services by 10%. The most developed ecosystem in the capital of Ukraine is Kyiv. At the same time, Kharkiv accounts for 65% of all IT services exports to the United States.
