Japan’s New Sanctions Package For Russia

17 individuals, 78 legal entities and 7 Ukrainian collaborators of terrorists

On May 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced the decision of the Japanese government to impose new sanctions on the terrorist country. The list includes 17 individuals, 79 companies and 7 Ukrainians who maliciously cooperate with Russia.

The sanctions are aimed at freezing the accounts of Japan, as well as any business procedures with these persons. The list, in particular, includes the Ural, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Irkutsk aircraft factories of the Kolomna machine-building design bureau, the Pulsar Research and Production Enterprise, the GAZ group, the ROSEL trading house, the State Rocket Center named after. Makeeva and other companies.

Notably, the national welfare funds and the protection of national values that fell under the sanctions are sponsors of Russia's war against Ukraine. Regarding these and other persons, Japan has introduced a complete ban on providing several services and expanded the list of export goods that can be used for the industrial machine of the Russian military sector.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Japonima has authorized 700 individuals, 311 legal entities and 311 collaborators from third countries (including Ukraine and Belarus).
