The Sunday Times published an article stating Boris Johnson's intention to invite Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Buckingham Palace. It is reported that an audience with the Queen is planned for October 2022. However, at noon of the same day, Boris Johnson gave comments to The Guardian on the invitation of the president of Ukraine to England. The president of Ukraine is not expected at the Palace of the Queen in October. However, the prime minister does not rule out a visit of Zelenskyy to the United Kingdom.
"If he can ever leave Ukraine and it makes sense for him to leave Ukraine, then obviously the UK will have the great honor to receive him," Boris Johnson commented on the possible organization of a visit of the Ukrainian president to Britain.
It is also known that Volodymyr Zelenskyy refuses to leave Ukraine while the war is going on in the country.
The British politician also noted that it is more important now to unite with the G7 countries, not to tea with the Queen. It should be noted that Germany has launched a 3-day summit of the G7, which will discuss the issues of Russia's war against Ukraine.
