On December 14, it became known about a global batch of critically needed assistance for Ukraine from France and Italy.
First, France announced a decision to allocate €415 million for the purchase of equipment and spare parts needed to repair Ukraine's war-damaged energy system. Earlier, Spain announced the provision of similar assistance to Ukraine.
Secondly, at the request of president Zelenskyy, France and Italy agreed to the transfer of robust SAMP-T air defences. This system is capable of destroying enemy targets at a distance of up to 100 km and an altitude of up to 25 km. This complex will significantly strengthen the defence capability of Ukraine.
Ukraine proved its ability to work with Western air defences again this morning when it shot down all the Russian drones aimed at Kyiv.
