Despite external factors affecting the Ukrainian economy, JP Morgan continues to view Ukraine as a strong player and does not postpone its plans to include our bonds in its index.
On March 31, the world-famous JP Morgan will introduce Ukrainian bonds into the GBI-EM Global Diversified index. JP Morgan also announced its decision in a commentary to The Wall Street Journal.
"This is good news for Ukraine – you suddenly have big index players that specialize in this particular bond market," Monika Dutt, head of division at Morningstar, Inc.
The share of Ukrainian bonds in the index of three GBI-EM series will be 0.12%. As requested by the index, each of the three initial inclusions in the GBI-EM Global Diversified series will consist of one вomestic government bond series with a coupon of 15.84%. The redemption of UA4000204150 will take place in February 2025.
It is known that GBI-EM is consistently popular among invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/service-for-investors/" rel="dofollow">investors in the world. The GBI-EM Global Diversified version includes 16 countries: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa, and Turkey. Ukraine will be added to this list in a couple of days.
