The head of the Kherson region Prokudin reported that some children stolen by the Russian military during the occupation of the region were returned home. The mission to return the illegally deported children ended on the morning of 10 April. It is known that 24 children returned to their homeland – all were stolen by the occupiers in the Kherson region.
"Look into these happy eyes! Another 24 children from Kherson – finally home," said the head of the region.
Prokudin reported that all the children were met by their parents and him. Now the young generation is at home with their relatives. Before returning home from Russian-controlled territories, the occupiers interrogated the children for 13 hours and forced them to participate in a Russian report.
Recall that a few days ago, the mission Save Ukraine returned more than 30 children from the Russian Federation. Also, representatives of Ukraine explained the reasons for the active transfer of children previously stolen from Ukraine.
As of April 10, 2023, 4.396 orphans are known to have been kidnapped by the Russians from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
