Contract for the Construction of the Turkish Floating Dock by Ukrainian Capacities

Kherson state plant "Pallada" and the Turkish company "Hidrodinamik Shipyard" agreed to build a composite floating dock

Pallada — Ukrainian plant, which is part of the state defense concern Ukroboronprom, is profiled in the production of docks and floating cranes. The floating dock for the Turkish Hidrodinamik Shipyard will have a carrying capacity of 8.500 tons. Materials for production will be Ukrainian-made, equipment will come from Europe and Turkey.

“The offshore structure will be built using modern technology: the pontoon will be made of marine reinforced concrete based on sulfate-resistant Portland cement, and the towers will be made of shipbuilding steel. This combination of materials will reduce maintenance costs for more than 50 years,” says Pallada.

Since 1968, Pallada has designed and built 43 docks of various modifications, 39 of which operate in other countries worldwide.

“This is the first Ukrainian-Turkish contract concluded after the agreement on a free trade zone between Ukraine and Turkey was signed in the presence of the presidents of both countries – Volodymyr Zelensky and Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” Pallada CEO Evgeny Alkhimov.
