The handover includes dump trucks and bulldozers aimed at supporting rescue operations and infrastructure restoration efforts across the country.
Equipment to Boost Rescue Operations Nationwide
The newly delivered equipment was distributed immediately to SES units in multiple regions. Alongside the handover, Ukrainian rescuers received specialized training to ensure safe and effective operation of the machines.
Ambassador Pak Kichang, representing South Korea in Ukraine, emphasized that the donated equipment will help reduce operational risks for Ukrainian rescuers.
Korean Support Has Already Saved Lives
According to Andriy Danyk, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, half of all demining vehicles in Ukraine were provided by Korea.
“As soon as we received these vehicles, the number of casualties among sappers significantly decreased,” Danyk noted. “Today, human life is our most valuable resource.”
Ongoing Korean Assistance to Ukraine
Over the past few years, South Korea has transferred more than 400 units of equipment to Ukraine's SES, including:
-
Fire trucks
-
Engineering machinery
-
Pyrotechnic equipment for mine clearance and demolition
The Republic of Korea remains a steadfast partner in Ukraine’s efforts to manage emergency risks, rebuild critical infrastructure, and promote civilian safety amid ongoing challenges.
Ambassador Pak reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continued humanitarian aid and technical cooperation with Ukraine, stressing that these efforts serve the shared goals of peace, reconstruction, and prosperity.
Summary: This latest delivery of dump trucks and bulldozers from Korea marks another milestone in a growing partnership focused on Ukraine’s recovery and public safety. With international support, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service continues to build resilience and capacity across the nation.
