On June 27, 2023, the first anniversary of the Russian X-22 missile strike on the shopping centre in Kremenchuk, where there were more than 1.000 people, the occupiers struck Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The Russian military fired missiles from the Iskander installation at a local cafe. Residential buildings surround the cafe, so residents were affected in addition to visitors to the institution.
As a result of the attack by the Russian occupiers on the civilian infrastructure, more than 60 people were injured. It is known that the fragmentation wounds were received by a child who was not yet 1 year old. On the morning of June 29, rescuers completed a search of people under the rubble. 12 bodies were found under the rubble of the building. Russian armed forces killed 3 children while they ate.
In addition, during a missile strike on Kramatorsk, citizens of Colombia and the Netherlands were wounded. There were volunteers from the Netherlands in the pizzeria – Frank and Cohen are in the Donetsk region as part of a humanitarian mission. They received light injuries. Also in the pizzeria were the founder of the support group of Ukraine in Latin America, Aquanta Ucraina, Colombian deputy Sergio Jaramillo, writer Hector Abad, journalist Catalina Gomes and a Ukrainian writer. Foreign guests were slightly injured, and the Ukrainian writer who accompanied the team is in serious condition in the hospital.
