Mobile PUTG 9S905 Krechet: air defense command post for mobile fire groups

Control center that integrates radars and distributes targets in real time

Mobile PUTG 9S905 Krechet is a Ukrainian command and control post designed to manage mobile air defense fire groups that protect infrastructure and troops. The system focuses on rapid situational awareness, stable communications and fast target distribution across multiple short range assets.

The command post covers a large operational area and consolidates data from several radar sources. It supports both direct integration of radars and processing of data from connected 2D and 3D sensors using standard ASTERIX categories, then builds a single tactical picture for the commander and operators.

Controlled air defense assets

The system manages a mixed set of short range air defense weapons. Supported configurations include up to 10 units of Shilka and 2S6 Tunguska via 9S905-2, up to 10 MANPADS of the Igla class and similar systems via 9S905-3, up to 10 Strela-10 via 9S905-2, up to 10 Osa via 9S905-2, and up to 10 foreign single channel systems via 9S905-2. For the 9A310M1 platform the stated limit is up to 5.

Deployment variants

Krechet supports mobile, stationary and transportable configurations. The mobile version on a high mobility chassis includes three workstations for driver, reconnaissance operator and fire control operator, battery blocks, an integrated radar module with the RPS-42 listed as an example, and cable and spare equipment boxes.

Why it matters

Krechet is built for fast coordination of many short range air defense assets under high tempo conditions. It helps reduce reaction time, improves target allocation and allows mobile fire groups to operate as a single networked layer of air defense.
