Launch of 400 Oxygen Stations in Ukraine

There will be 385 oxygen stations in Ukrainian hospitals

According to the head of the Ministry of health Victor Liashko, in 2021,118 oxygen stations were purchased with a government subvention. At present, some of them have already been installed in hospitals and assist patients with COVID-19.

Liashko noted that the state" rel="dofollow">enterprise Medical purchases of Ukraine had acquired an additional 225 stations. Their supply is already underway. He checked on installing one of these stations in the hospital of the Odesa region. Thus, after completing work for one year, the number of continuously operating oxygen stations in Ukraine will increase almost eightfold.

At the end of December of last year, state enterprise, Medical Purchases of Ukraine, concluded contracts to purchase 225 oxygen stations with a total value of $23.14 million.

The acquisition of 196 stations was tentatively planned as part of the purchase, but competition at auction resulted in savings and an additional 29 stations.

The capacity of one such station is 500 l/min. Each has additional gas analyzers, flowmeters, and remote control. It will enable the hospital to track how much oxygen it receives and its quality.

To date, equipment for the autonomous generation of oxygen has already been installed in the regions in hospitals providing care to patients with coronavirus infection.
