Lithuanian defense minister Arvydas Anushauskas said on Twitter that support for Ukraine in the war will continue. According to him, Lithuania will rebuild the howitzers damaged during the fighting in Ukraine. Anushauskas stated that at least 12 self-propelled howitzers would be repaired and shared the first results of such military assistance.
Lithuania will repair the German self-propelled artillery unit PzH2000, which Ukraine received as part of military assistance. 2 PzH2000 have already been repaired and are headed for Ukraine. Also, according to the defence minister of the neighbouring state, 2 other artillery weapons are already being sent for "resurrection" from Ukraine.
In October, Lithuania announced assistance to Ukraine for the rehabilitation of German installations for the first time. Before that, a friendly country had handed over to the Russians an invader. M113 armoured personnel carriers, 105 mm howitzers, mortars, drones, thousands of sets of winter uniforms, and ammunition.
