Lithuania Sends Light to Ukrainians

The country handed over to Ukraine transformers to stabilise the energy catastrophe in Ukraine

Last year, the country of the southern Baltic states helped Ukraine cope with the first power supply problems caused by the Russian attacks on the electric power plants. Lithuania spent €2.4 million on such assistance. But the partner country continues to support Ukraine in fighting the aggressor and the consequences of a brutal war this year.

It became known that Lithuania organized the delivery of a new autotransformer to Ukraine. This device can provide the country with electricity. The cost of the transformer is estimated at €2 million.

From October 2022 to January 2023, Russia delivered 12 massive missile strikes against Ukraine’s energy structure. Last week was the last missile strike on the country’s power stations, so many areas have again introduced emergency power cuts.
