On April 27, the British minister of foreign affairs made a statement regarding the increase in the Kingdom's arms production and the provision of more technical support to Ukraine. To help our country in the fight against the Kremlin, the West must send even more planes to Ukraine than it has already sent. Ukraine needs funds to close its sky.
Quote from Liz Truss's preliminary speech to parliamentarians: "Heavy weapons, tanks, aircraft — we need to look deeper into our stocks, increase production."
The minister also added that the victory of Ukraine is the security of all of Europe. "If Putin succeeds, it will lead to untold further suffering throughout Europe and dire consequences worldwide. We will never feel safe again. Therefore, we must be ready for a long journey and double our support for Ukraine."
According to the Associated Press, Liz Truss also stressed the need for a pan-European renunciation of Russian gas "once and for all" and to strengthen sanctions against the Kremlin.
