On the U.S. portal The Department of Defense released a statement from Pentagon speaker John Kirby:
"On May 13, Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Russian minister of defense Sergey Shoygu for the first time since February 18. Secretary Austin urged an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and emphasized the importance of maintaining lines of communication."
As seen in Kirby's statement, the United States is demanding an immediate ceasefire. Since the United States did not publish any more details, there was probably no sense from Shoigu.
It is reported that the conversation was initiated by the American side.
