London Supports Ukraine Besides the “Eurovision”

London mayor's office sent a letter to Kyiv MO about organising official fan zones and blue-yellow decorations around the city in honour of Ukraine

This week, the Eurovision song contest began in Liverpool, Britain. Recall that the Ukrainian rap group won the competition last year, but Ukraine could not accept participants from all over the world because of the Russian war. Therefore, Britain, whose participant took second place last year, receives guests and participants in the competition on behalf of Ukraine.

The qualifying rounds of the Eurovision-2023 have already taken place. On May 13, the competition's final will begin, where Ukraine will also perform. Experts have put the Ukrainian team of TVORCHY in the top 3 of the competition. But London also decided to support the Ukrainian group and the whole country. The government of Ukraine received an official letter from the city hall of London in support of Kyiv on the eve of the Eurovision Final 2023. This was reported by the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitalii Klychko.

As a sign of its support, London supplies the whole city with blue-yellow light. Also, the city hall organised a fan zone for the competition's audience. The park hosted a large screen and places for fans of the Ukrainian group TVORCHY

Vitalii Klychko thanked London for its support and help in this not-an-easy time.
