Long-Range Missiles for Ukraine From France

On July 11, Macron announced the sending of the "SCALP" missiles to Ukraine

At the NATO summit, Emmanuel Macron announced the transfer of long-range SCALP missiles to Ukraine, which were discussed in May. These missiles are an analogue of the British Storm Shadow, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine use with 100% efficiency.

The target engagement range is 560 km for Franco-British customers and 250 for export. It is known that these SCALPs will be transferred from France's MoD stocks.

"So that we can give the Ukrainians the ability to strike deep while maintaining the clarity and consistency of our doctrine, we have decided to supply new missiles," Emmanuel Macron.

"I think it is important for us today to send a message of support for Ukraine, NATO unity and determination that Russia cannot, must not win this war."

The surface-to-air cruise missile will bolster the Ukrainian counteroffensive, which has de-occupied more territory in 5 weeks than the Russians have occupied in 6 months.
