McDonald’s in Ukraine Plans to Open Restaurants in Three More Regional Centers

"McDonald's intends to open establishments in Kropyvnytskyi, Chernivtsy and Uzhgorod in the near future", said the development director of McDonald's Ukraine Vitaliy Stefurak

According to him, after the launch in Kropyvnytskyi, Chernivtsi and Uzhgorod, the network will work in all regional centers of Ukraine. He added that in the next few years the network plans to go to all satellite towns of Kyiv, in particular to Irpen.

"Our goal in a few years is to completely "close" all satellites of Kyiv. Now we are in Bucha, Brovary, Borispil, we are considering Irpen and other cities," he added.

A similar task, he said, is set for the suburbs and satellite cities of Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro and Odesa.

"In the cities-millionaires and satellites, we are primarily interested in certain areas where McDrive invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/start-a-company/" rel="dofollow">establishments can be located, with all the sales channels that are now in Ukraine," Stefurak said.

The first establishment of McDonald's in Ukraine opened on May 24, 1997 in Kyiv. Now the McDonald's chain in Ukraine has 104 restaurants in 24 cities.

In March of 2021 McDonald's said that in 2021 they planned to invest $ 42 million and open more than 10 new facilities. It was planned to launch McDonald's in Zaporozhye, Bila Tserkva, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk and Khmelnitskyy. In 2022, the company planned to open in Kropyvnytskyi, Mariupol, Chernivtsi and Uzhgorod.
