The Ukrainian team has 32 awards (7 gold, 16 silver and 9 bronze). The Ukrainian team occupies the 5th position in the medal standings

On August 24, the XVI Summer Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, Japan officially started. Ukraine will be represented by 143 athletes who will compete in 15 sports.

Now in the medal standings — where the place depends on the number of "gold" — the Ukrainian team is in 5th place. And by the number of medals it ranks 4th. Ukrainian Paralympians have already won medals:

"Bronze" — women's long jump — T11 Pavlenko Yulia, men's C5 4000m individual pursuit Dementyev Yehor, men — 73 kg Mahomedov Rufat, women —48 kg Ivanytska Yulia, woman —52 kg Nikolaichiyk Nataliya, women's 50m freestyle — S6 Hontar Anna, Men's singles — class 8 Nikolenko Maksym, men's singles — class 9 Mai Ivan, women's sabre individual — category A Breus Yevhenia.

"Silver" — swimmers Kol Anton, Smyrnov Viktor, Klippert Sergii, Virchenko Oleksii, Trusov Andrii, Garashchenko Kyrylo, Krypak Maksym, Denysenko Kateryna, Meryeshko Yelyzaveta, fencers Manko Artem, Fedota Olena, javelin thrower Vladislav Bily, Men's shot put Danyliuk Roman, women's club thrower Moskalenko Anastasiia, judo Husieva Iryna.

"Gold" — swimmer Elizaveta Mereshko, Serbin Mykhailo, Bohodayko Yevhenii, Krypak Maksym, Dubrov Denys, Stetsenko Anna and powerlifter Maryana Shevchuk.
