Today, Danish defence minister Morten Bedskoe and Estonian defence minister Hanno Pevkur honoured Ukraine with their visit. The ministers met with president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. On behalf of Ukraine, the president thanked for the stable and reliable support that Estonia and Denmark have been providing to Ukraine since the very beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
"Thanks to Danish defence minister Morten Bedskoe and Estonian defence minister Hanno Pevkur for the meeting and consistent support for Ukraine!" Zelenskyy.
The president thanked Estonia for giving support equal to 0.8% of the country's GDP.
"You supported us very powerfully. This is an example of a small country that is a great power. The Ukrainian people and I are very grateful for this," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president also noted the role of Denmark in creating an allied platform to support Ukraine in Copenhagen, which has greatly strengthened Ukraine's defence capabilities.
Zelenskyy noted that the continued support of Denmark and Estonia is significant for Ukraine. And it is essential that states understand that Ukraine is now protecting not only its own future but the future of all democratic Europe.
"Strengthening our army directly with weapons has become our highest priority. The stability and endurance of our state and security in Europe depend on this. It is essential that you increase Ukraine in a safe and military dimension, supplying us with much-needed weapons right now for the de-occupation of our territories," Volodymyr Zelesnkyy.
