Minister of Justice of Germany Arrived in Ukraine

On October 4, Marco Buschmann arrived in Kyiv on a diplomatic visit

2 events took place in Kyiv today: the Russians did not stage a terrorist attack against the capital, and the minister of justice of Germany, Marco Buschmann, arrived in the city. For security reasons, the forthcoming visit was not reported in the press. Similar precautions were taken concerning the president of Germany, delegations from Greece, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

"We stand firmly with Ukraine. Federal minister of Justice. Marco Buschmann left for a visit to the country last night. One thing is clear: we are providing financial, military and humanitarian support — and will continue to do so. We will not give up freedom and justice!" reports the German Ministry of justice on Twitter.

It is known that Germany intends to assist Ukraine in investigating Russian war crimes. Therefore, the primary topic of negotiations between the delegation from Germany and representatives of the Ukrainian government was the security of our state and cooperation between the parties in the field of justice. This is especially true against Ukraine's forthcoming entry into the European Union.

"Investigations into Russian war crimes in recent months after the attack on a neighbouring country in February are of great importance not only for Ukraine," Marco Busman.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko personally conducted a tour for Minister Bushman and his team, showed residential buildings destroyed by Russian shelling of Kyiv.

"Today, I showed the German minister of justice Marko Buschmann, who visited Ukraine, the consequences of Russian shelling in the centre of Kyiv. They talked about assistance to Ukraine — financial, military and humanitarian. And also, in particular, about the help of European partners in the restoration and protection of critical infrastructure objects of Ukraine. Marko Buschmann assured that Germany is on the side of Ukraine. And will continue comprehensive support of our state in the struggle for freedom and independence," Vitali Klitschko.
