On August 28, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional state administration, Oleksandr Starukh, reported about the 14-hour shelling of the city. The army of the Russian Federation continuously shelled the city of Orekhov. The consequences of the attacks on the city are too significant: 2 children, a 6-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, were injured. The mother of the children was also injured. The kids suffered concussions, and their mom suffered closed head trauma.
Oleksandr Starukh said that the occupying forces fired more than 200 heavy shells in just 6 hours. The whole city is in flames and smoke. There are 18 rescue teams on the scene.
The shelling was carried out in the central part of the city. Practically all private buildings of high-rise buildings are not suitable for living. In just 14 hours, the city, which once helped Ukrainians from the central and eastern part of Ukraine to get to the sea, turned into a paper city.
