More Than 3.000 Spaniards Run for Ukraine

A charity marathon "Running for Ukraine. Running for peace"

On May 31 in the capital of Spain held a charitable marathon in support of Ukraine Running for Ukraine. Running for peace. City mayor José Luis Martinez Almeida, members of the embassy of Ukraine in Spain and all the willing Spaniards and guests of the country took part in the race. The total number of marathon participants exceeded 3.000 persons.

"In his welcome speech, ambassador Serhii Pohoreltsev thanked Spain for its solidarity with Ukraine in the confrontation with the Russian aggressor, its European integration aspirations and expressed hope that Spain supports granting Ukraine the status of candidate country for EU membership during the European Council meeting to be held in Brussels on June 23-24," the embassy of Ukraine in Spain reported.

Also, on May 30, Barcelona took action to support Ukraine in its desire to become a member of the European Union. The action was named For Freedom. Georgians and Lithuanians also attended the action.
