Today Chisinau is hosting the Summit of the European political community. Moldovan president Maia Sandu said that the European political community is honoured for her, in which, importantly, Volodymyr Zelenskyy participates.
"It was not easy to come here, but this is a message from all Ukrainians that we really support Moldova and the people of Moldova. We are really happy to walk together historically, side by side. First of all, I thank the Moldovans — you have been sheltering our people since the first days of the full-scale war. We will never forget this," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy, Sandu and Moldovan prime minister Dorin Recean held talks on several main topics: common infrastructure facilities, expanding bilateral cooperation, Paths of solidarity and security guarantees for Ukraine and Moldova, which is also at risk of Russian aggression.
"Today, Ukraine ensures the security of Moldova, and we are very grateful for this. Moldova respects the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. Moldova also supports the Peace formula proposed by resident Zelenskyy. And, of course, we support the establishment of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine," Maia Sandu.
We remind you that Ukraine and Moldova together received the status of a candidate member of the European Union, and together they are developing in a European way.
