Today, at the Mariinsky palace in the centre of Kyiv, was held negotiations between president Zelensky and the Austrian parliamentary team led by president of the National Council Wolfgang Sobotka.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mr Sobotka for the support that Austria provides for our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as favour for Ukraine's plans to join the European Union. The parties discussed achievements and difficulties in fulfilling the European Parliament's homework for our country: 7 recommendations, the implementation of which will bring Ukraine closer to negotiations on the transformation of "candidate Ukraine" into the "EU member Ukraine."
Zelenskyy and the Wolfgang Sobotka team discussed the Peace formula, which is essential in light of the upcoming Global Peace Summit. The president thanked the Austrian delegation for its willingness to join international events to implement Ukraine's peace plan.
"A separate and important topic is the involvement of Austrian business and social forces in restoring Ukraine, our economic cooperation," Zelensky added.
