On October 22, were held online negotiations between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Sheikh of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. First, the president thanked the sheikh for his state's participation in returning home to Ukrainian children who were forcibly deported to Russia or criminally transported to a war zone. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to continue cooperation with Qatar in the field of repatriation of our children.
The parties discussed the situation in Israel and concluded that the conflict must be de-escalated and the country's civilian population protected. These days, it is critical to continue the work of humanitarian corridors through which civilians can flee from war, get help and protection.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for Qatar's participation in the preliminary discussions of the Peace formula. It is known that Qatari representatives are also ready to join one of the rounds, which will take place in Malta this coming week.
