This update is especially useful for military personnel because they will be able to change their place of registration without visiting the military registration and enlistment office.
The data on the new place of registration will be automatically transferred from the register of the old community to the register of the new community. The same will happen with the data of the military registration and enlistment office. Today the service has been launched in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Rivne, Lutsk, Kryvyi Rih, Mariupol, and Vinnytsia.
The service can be used by those who have an ID card, provided that there are no problems with documents. The new place of registration will be displayed in the internal or foreign passport.
According to the minister of digital transformation Mykhailo Fedorov: “Now all territorial communities are required to electronically submit information to the demographic register. For the first time in history, we have connected to the register of those liable for military service. Diia makes a request to this register and information about the new place of registration after its change is automatically transferred from the old military registration and enlistment office to the new one. You can change your registration without visiting the military registration and enlistment office at all."
Recall that on July 15, the Ukrainian parliament adopted in the first reading a bill on changing the place of registration online. Such innovations are especially useful because they will lead to the abandonment of a stamp in a paper passport and a paper certificate for an ID card.
