On January 28, in the second round of the presidential elections in the Czechia, general Petr Pavel won with more than 58% of the vote. Pavel — chairman of the NATO Military Committee, represents the communist party in the Czech Republic.

I appreciate your support for Ukraine and our struggle against Russian aggression. I would be happy to have close personal cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of Ukraine and the Czech Republic and in the interests of a united Europe,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On March 9, Petr Pavel will replace Milos Zeman. The new president is a longtime friend of Ukraine and a man who led the Czech army.
