"Ukrposhta" builds a new automated logistics sorting center in Dnipro city for $49 million

Ukrposhta is the only national postal operator in Ukraine. The postal service network comprises more than 11 thousand branches throughout the country.

Dniprovsky sorting complex is part of a large project of the new investing-in-ukraine/service-for-investors/logistics-providers/" rel="dofollow">logistics network of Ukrposhta. The company has already signed agreements on constructing similar hubs in Kyiv and Lviv, and other regions are next in line. Together, this will allow Ukrposhta to reach a higher delivery quality level due to the complete automation of processes.

Construction of a sorting complex

The completion of the construction of the sorting center is scheduled for the end of 2023.

The new automated sorting complex will be located on the outskirts of the regional center. The total area of ​​the land plot is 8.47 hectares.

The leading postal operator of the country attracts funds from international investors for the development of logistics infrastructure. It's about 7 automated sorting hubs in the core regions, including the Dnipro city. The project will allow Ukrposhta to qualitatively fulfill its social function and compete with the private sector at the level of services.

Facts about the Dnipro sorting complex

  • Dniprovskyi sorting complex will become a powerful hub for central Ukraine. After all, the region borders on 7 other regions. There are the head offices of large companies, particularly retailers, for whom fast and high-quality delivery to the end consumer is decisive in the city itself;
  • A fully automated Dnipro sorting complex will become the leading center for processing and sorting mail for central Ukraine;
  • According to preliminary estimates, the minimum time and volume of parcel processing will increase to 35 thousand units per hour, and in written correspondence — up to 15 thousand letters per hour, which will significantly reduce delivery times and improve the quality of services;
  • There are zones for acceptance, processing, sorting of the press, letters, dispatches, separate courier delivery on 24 thousand sq. m;
  • It is planned that the sorting center will operate 24/7, which will reduce processing time to 3-5 hours and, ensure prompt and timely delivery throughout the country.
