Night Attack Against Odesa. 23rd July

Russia destroyed the oldest cathedral, the house of scientists and residential houses from the UNESCO heritage list with missile strikes

The operational association of the ground forces of the armed forces of Ukraine reported that Russian invaders terrorized the port city with at least 5 types of missiles at night. To distort the city, all kinds of rockets were used: Caliber, X-22, Onyx, Iskander-K and Iskander-M missiles.

Enemy missiles destroyed the centre of Odesa, which is under the protection of UNESCO. Residential buildings and peaceful people who slept at night suffered in the historic centre. The proximity of the city to the sea, in which there are enemy ships with missiles, does not give time to descend to bomb shelters. As a result of a missile strike, a broad number of houses were destroyed, 1 person died, and 24 were injured. There are 11 people in the hospital, including 3 children.

Also destroyed is a monument of national importance – the House of Scientists, which preserved the old stained glass windows and the history of the owner of the house of the writer Lev Tolstoy. The rocket smashed almost all the stained glass.

A rocket hit the Russians at the city's oldest cathedral. The Holy Transfiguration cathedral is destroyed. Only some icons have been preserved. It should be noted that in 2010 the Moscow patriarch Kiril baptized this temple. Now a church employee supports the murder of the Ukrainian people by Kremlin troops.

The invaders did not bypass port facilities. The Russian Federation had been smashing Odesa for a week, but this night was one of the worst for the townspeople.

Stoltenberg has already announced the convening of the NATO-Ukraine council because of Russian strikes on Odesa.
