Nine Regions Will receive ₴1,8 billion ($ 66,5 million)

The government has reallocated a subvention from the state budget to implement projects for infrastructure rehabilitation by the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB)

More than ₴1,8 billion ($ 66,5 million) of funds for the reconstruction of the infrastructure of the eastern regions and regions where a significant number of internally displaced persons live.

"This subvention will help restore medical, educational, cultural and sports infrastructure in nine regions. The distribution of funds will allow to implement 170 projects in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Kherson, Odessa and Poltava regions. We thank our international partners for their continued support," said deputy minister of community and territorial development Ivan Lukerya.

The EIB's Emergency Credit Program for the reconstruction of Ukraine is a long-term investment aimed at rebuilding infrastructure in eastern Ukraine, as well as in regions hosting internally displaced persons. The first tranche of the program amounted to €200 million. Given the success of its implementation, the EIB provided a second tranche at the end of last year - €340 million.
