Russia is becoming a country with disabilities. Each of its crimes closes the door to a prosperous world for its inhabitants. The International Paralympic Committee will hold an extraordinary general assembly on 16 November. During the meeting, the issue of depriving the Russian Federation of membership in the Committee will be considered. Banning participation would mean restricting Russian athletes with disabilities from developing themselves internationally. The International Paralympic Committee has already done so. In 2016, representatives of the organization voted to deprive Russia of membership in the organization. This happened before the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The Russian side was conditionally reinstated in March 2019. But Putin, unlike the Committee, decided not to give athletes a chance and attacked Ukraine. Therefore the Russian people are now everywhere, paying the price of comfort and success.
It is also reported that the Committee will consider the exclusion from the organization and the other side of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict — Belarus.
Note that the next Paralympic Games will be held in March 2026.
