Norway to Deliver €42 Million Worth of Grenade Launchers to Ukraine

Norway will transfer grenade launchers worth nearly €42 million to Ukraine to meet the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

This was announced by the Norwegian Defense Minister, Bjorn Arild Gram.

    • Norway will deliver a batch of grenade launchers valued at approximately 480 million Norwegian kroner (almost €42 million).

    • Norway recently provided a batch of hand grenades worth NOK 50 million (€4.7 million).
    • Ammunition for sniper weapons valued at NOK 3 million (€260,000) was also delivered.

    • Norway will allocate €240 million for the enhancement of Ukraine's air defense.
    • Out of this, €125 million will be contributed towards a joint supply with other allies of hundreds of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system.

    • The Norwegian parliament has approved a long-term plan for the development of the Norwegian Armed Forces until 2036.
