An electronic visa is a type of visa that can be obtained online using a simplified and quick procedure. The main condition: this type of visa is received for a one-time stay in Ukraine for a period of up to 30 days. Who and why it may be needed: foreigners who intend to come to Ukraine for tourist (for example, to see Chornobyl), medical (cheap dental service), private purposes, as well as for business trips.
The procedure for obtaining a visa
- A foreigner must submit an online application on the portal of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine from 3 months to 10 days before the planned trip;
- Select the visa processing period: 1-3 days;
- Fill out the questionnaire and upload documents: passport, medical policy, photo card, confirmation of the availability of funds in the bank account, and confirmation of the purpose of the trip;
- Online payment of consular and service fees.
According to the purpose of the trip, the foreigner must present documents confirming this purpose. If it is a business, private or medical trip, the foreigner must receive an invitation from the inviting person (company, friend, medical institution), if it is a tourist trip, the confirmation of the tourist purpose is a hotel reservation and a return ticket.
If the visa is approved, the applicant will receive a QR confirmation for scanning at the border. The percentage of refusal also exists, and the reasons are the same as for refusal a visa to any other country, plus if the person trying to enter Ukraine is a citizen of Russia or Belarus.
