On July 1st, COVID-Quarantine Officially Ends in Ukraine

After a year and a half of the war, Ukrainians have already forgotten that there was a COVID quarantine in the country

Prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that after 3 years and 3 months, our country has overcome the COVID-19 crisis and closes the emergency quarantine regime. Oh, the wonderful times when the only problem in Ukraine was the pandemic.

Shmyhal thanked the Ukrainian doctors who have been saving Ukrainians from the coronavirus disease for more than 3 years, risking their lives. At a time when there was no vaccine, and people were dying by the hundreds, "medics did not hesitate to accept this challenge and continued to work." Today, these same doctors, once again risking their lives, are fighting for the lives of our soldiers, our civilians affected by the war.

The first case of coronavirus was registered in Ukraine on March 2, 2021, in the city of Chernivtsi, western Ukraine. Since then, 112.418 people have died from this disease. To support business, the state has introduced several tax incentives, which are likely to be cancelled with the end of quarantine.
