ERR reports that 85 MPs of the Estonian parliament have accepted the application regarding Ukraine. According to the text, Estonia supports Ukraine in all its recent and well-established statements. Political figures discuss the military and leaders of the Russian Federation, who, a year ago, invaded Ukraine with war. Estonia also supported the peace plan that Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced at the G7 meeting and in the United States. Parliamentarians paid no less attention to the absurd decision of the International Olympic Committee. Estonia called for excluding Russian and Belarusian athletes from the international arena.
"Parliament condemns attempts to allow athletes who represent the regimes of Belarus and Russia to participate in international competitions and Olympic Games, violating the principles of the Olympic Charter," the document says.
The document also states that no one should remain neutral as long as Russia commits genocide against the Ukrainian people.
Before the parliament made such a statement on the adoption of the decision, the head of the inter-parliamentary group of the 2 countries, Arseny Pushkarenko, spoke before the emblem of the politicians. Arseny Pushkarenko thanked for the support of Ukraine and presented the blue-yellow flag from the front.
