The British website Techround has published a ranking of the most interesting startups in the foodtech field. The list included a product created by Ukrainians — the ORTY restaurant management system.
What is ORTY?
ORTY is a unified restaurant management system with embedded digital orders. It brings together the management of POS, team, take-away orders, mobile orders, marketing and other processes in one place. ORTY also allows you to control refunds, cancellations of goods or orders, overdue orders or orders with negative reviews.
Startup founders
The idea of the product belongs to Mikhail Popchuk. The second partner is Radomir Novkovich from Saldo Apps, which belongs to the Netpeak Group. In 2021, ORTY and Saldo merged and the product also became part of the Netpeak Group.
Radomir Novkovic is also known for founding the mobile app promotion agency RadASO in 2018. In 2020, Netpeak acquired 51% of the company.
Goals for the future
Today the Saldo Apps team consists of 30 people. The founder of Netpeak Group Artem Borodatyuk plans to grow the most expensive startup out of the project. The minimum task is to reach $1 million in annual revenue and close the seed round from western investment funds.
Startup clients
One of the company's first clients was the project The Social Kitchen, funded by the government of Singapore. There are also several companies from Malaysia and Singapore in the ORTY portfolio.
More than 3000 thousand restaurants in Ukraine and Asia are already using ORTY solutions. The co-founder of the system Mikhail Popchuk considers the Asian market a priority for his product.
The project received 19 (maximum jury rating on the 9th Pitch Day from USF).
In addition to Ukrainians, there are 18 other companies in the Techround rating: Food Rocket, Raw Wine, SimpleFoods, ShelfNow, ByFood.com, The Food Incubator, Bbot, Outcast Foods, Hooray Foods, Plenty, Aleph Farms, Mitte, Jack & Bry, Slerp, Nick's, Kuleana, FoodDocs and Crisp.
