Andrzej Duda has no doubt that Russia will lose the war and will "crawl on its knees" to ask for peace. The president of Poland offered Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept the capitulation of Russia in the town of Pereyaslav, Kyiv region. The choice of location is not accidental: in the 17th century, the Ukrainian Hetmanate fought against the Rzeczpospolita (then, these were the territories of modern Poland and Lithuania). In 1654, in Pereyaslav, during the rada (council), was signed an agreement on the protectorate of Russia over the Ukrainian hetmanate (the form of the state system, where the hetman is at the head of the organization — ed), which became the starting point for almost 400 years of Russian claims to the territory of Ukraine. The Pereyaslav agreement is an analogue of the Budapest memorandum: when Ukraine believed in Russia's diplomatic framework in vain.
Ukraine has learned its lesson and is changing its history: we put an end to relations with Russia and reunite with Poland and Lithuania.
