Poland and Ukraine will cooperate on Patriot missile service and production

Warsaw says it will play an important role in European capacity for PAC-3 missile maintenance and future cooperation with Ukraine

Poland says it will cooperate with Ukraine in the production and service chain for missiles used in Patriot air defense systems. Warsaw positions itself as one of the key European locations for PAC-3 missile maintenance and future technological cooperation.

Why Poland is central

Poland is already a major logistics hub for military support to Ukraine. It also belongs to the group of NATO countries connected with technology for Patriot missile production and service, together with Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.

The issue matters because current missile production is concentrated and limited. Expanding European service capacity can reduce bottlenecks and make long-term air defense support more sustainable.

Ukraine’s defense industry link

The cooperation also touches a wider industrial exchange. Discussions continue around possible transfer of Polish MiG-29 aircraft in return for Ukrainian drone production technologies.

For investors and partners, the signal is broader than one weapon system. Air defense, maintenance, licensed production and drone technologies are becoming part of a shared European defense-industrial market on NATO’s eastern flank.
