On April 11, Mateusz Morawiecki arrived in Washington to strengthen economic and defence cooperation between Poland and the United States. The minister flew out of Poland on April 11 and in a briefing noted that relations between the two states "have not been so good for a long time and, perhaps, never have been so strong."
"I'm flying to the United States to strengthen the alliance with our most powerful ally, with a country that guarantees security in Europe, which especially guarantees security in our part of Europe," Mateusz Morawiecki.
2 weeks ago, Poland increased spending on the production of ammunition, and today it plans to participate in the US National Munitions Program, and therefore the minister met with the leadership of Lockheed Martin.
During the dialogue between Mateusz Morawski and Kamala Harris, the purchases of the F-35, Abrams, HIMARS, Patriot, and the increase in the US presence in Poland were discussed. It is planned to build bases, warehouses of American weapons, the accumulation of military equipment. Russian aggression against Ukraine is one of the reasons for this intensification. American enterprises have invested about $25 billion in Poland.
"And there will be more and more of this equipment in Poland," Mateusz Morawiecki.
