On May 16, prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that the state program of concessional lending 5-7-9 will apply to compensation for damage and restoration of equipment for thermal power plants and thermal power plants that were damaged by the Russian war.
"One of the spheres most affected by Russian terror is energy. The damage is colossal. We saw the destruction with our own eyes," Denys Shmyhal.
The decision to lend to heat CHPPs and TPPs was made on May 12. During a visit to the Kharkiv region, Shmyhal noted that in this and 4 other regions, work has begun on the reconstruction of the heat supply infrastructure.
"We are preparing pilot projects for the decentralization of the energy system. We are looking for resources and opportunities to do everything on time until the next heating season," Shmyhal.
It is also noted that due to previous Russian attacks, there will be an electricity shortage in the Kyiv region in the coming week. Citizens are asked to refrain from simultaneously using all household appliances in the apartment.
