President of Ukraine at the G20 Summit

Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave his vision of the continuation and end of the war

Zelenskyy participates in the summit in Bali online and calls for "an end to the destructive war of Russia". But the head of the suffering state is not ready to make concessions to the aggressor. The president will not sign agreements with Russia until the end of the war, there will also be no Minsk agreements because Putin will immediately violate the document. The president of Ukraine also believes that the war must end fairly. In the scenario of further existence with Russia, the politician sees the creation of guarantees of nuclear energy, food, and other types of security. A ceasefire, a complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian land, compensation for damage and reparations — this is the only way the war will end.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the G20 representatives to think about the peaceful inhabitants of Ukraine, who are in Russian captivity. He offered to negotiate a new format for prisoners of war. According to this formula, countries should exchange all prisoners of war that are now in both funds. These are not only military but also children and civilians whom the Russian army kidnapped to the territory of the RF.

Peace formula from Zelenskyy:

1. Radiation and nuclear safety. Zaporizhzhya NPP of all its militants, the station should be immediately transferred under the control of the IAEA and Ukrainian personnel. Restoring the regular connection of the station to the power grid so that nothing threatens the stability of the reactors.

2. Food security. Expand the export grain initiative to our other ports, in particular, to the ports of Mykolaiv and Olvia in the Mykolaiv region. Also, Ukraine is launching a program to prevent hunger in the world Grain from Ukraine.

3. Energy security. Assistance is needed in building up air defence and missile defence systems to protect the skies of Ukraine. Deploy a UN expert mission to the country's critical energy infrastructure to assess damage and rebuilding needs and to prevent further destruction.

4. Release of all prisoners and deportees. Ukraine proposes to exchange prisoners according to the "all for all" formula. This format should also include civilians taken to the territory of the Russian Federation, including children.

5. Implementation of the UN Charter and restoration of territorial integrity and world order.

6. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities. The Russian Federation must withdraw all its troops from the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine's control over all sections of our state border with Russia must be restored, which will be the result of a real and complete cessation of hostilities.

7. Justice. Creation of a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine and the creation of an international mechanism to compensate for all losses caused by this war - compensation at the expense of Russian assets.

8. Ecocide, the need for immediate protection of nature. It is necessary to create a platform for assessing the environmental damage caused by war. Assistance to Ukraine with demining, an urgent build-up of such equipment and specialists for this. Allocation of funds for the restoration of treatment facilities.

9. Prevention of escalation. Ukraine needs effective security guarantees, so it has prepared a draft Kyiv Security Compact and has already offered it to partners.

10. Fixing the end of the war. When all anti-war steps are implemented, when security and justice begin to be restored, the parties must sign a document fixing the end of the war.

"We must unite for the only real model of the release of the captives — everyone at everyone," said president Zelenskyy.

Let us recall that today the meeting of the UN General Assembly began. 193 representatives of UN member states will discuss Ukraine. The permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya, presented a plan for Russian reparations to Ukraine. The president of Ukraine addressed the UN general assembly. He said that he is not considering the option of signing Minsk-3, wants to return all Ukrainians home and requires security guarantees.
