The president of Ukraine positively assessed the dynamics of the Ukrainian-Israeli international partnership and expressed confidence in their further development.
"Ukraine and Israel have always been and will remain reliable friends and partners. I am convinced that cooperation with the new president and the new Israeli government will be fruitful, and our countries will continue to deepen mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation," the president of Ukraine noted.
In this context, the interlocutors discussed plans for the mutual and simultaneous opening of high-tech development centers with the involvement of talented scientists and IT specialists in Kyiv and Jerusalem.
During the conversation, the presidents discussed the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the mass shootings in Babi Yar and the development of the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve. Yitzhak Herzog noted the relevance of the implementation of this project for future generations.
"The memory of the tragedy of Babi Yar will teach the younger generation what cruelty can lead to," he said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Yitzhak Herzog to visit Ukraine.
“I look forward to our personal meeting in Kyiv in the near future. I am sure that by joint efforts we must deepen partnership relations between Ukraine and Israel,” the president of Ukraine noted.
