President Zelensky Arrives in Lithuania for Trimore Summit and Security Agreement Signing

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has landed in Lithuania to attend the Trimore Summit, where he is slated to engage in crucial discussions and ink a new security agreement

His visit underscores a strategic effort to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities and gather international support amid ongoing conflicts.

During his stay, President Zelensky plans to meet with leaders of partner states and finalize a bilateral security pact aimed at enhancing Ukraine's air defense and addressing the immediate needs of its Defense Forces. This move is part of a broader initiative to fortify Ukraine's resilience against Russian aggression and consolidate global backing for the country's sovereignty.

"The primary objective now is to strengthen our air defense, cater to the urgent requirements of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and amass international support to counteract Russian terror," stated President Zelensky. He further highlighted the universal threat posed by Russian hostilities, not only to Ukraine but also to neighboring nations and all proponents of international law.

This development follows an announcement on April 4 by the Office of the President, revealing that Ukrainian and Lithuanian representatives have outlined key elements and established a timetable for the preparation of the security agreement. This collaboration marks a significant step in Ukraine's diplomatic efforts to secure its borders and uphold international peace and security.
