Prime minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, said that on September 1 this year, the country will resume the privatization program suspended due to the war.
"At a conference call with the leaders of the regions, he also gave the task of preparing everything necessary for privatization on the ground. Since small-scale privatization in villages and towns, where people know objects that have been standing for years and used inefficiently, will make it possible to buy these premises at a fair price and thanks to granting programs quickly get to work," Denys Shmyhal.
According to the minister, the cabinet of ministers has prepared a legal framework for restarting privatization and conducting it as quickly as possible. Separately, a grant program for entrepreneurs was launched, encouraging Ukrainian businessmen to participate in privatization.
The program is designed to develop villages and towns, develop the agricultural sector and, modernize production, effectively use the premises and state space. A prosperous business is a prosperous country. The minister also added about the upcoming auction of elevator capacities and bakeries, which may interest Ukrainian farmers.
On July 27, the cabinet of ministers of Ukraine approved a list of 420 state-owned enterprises that are no longer in use and will be transferred to private ownership.
