Thanks to the collaboration of the Security Service of Ukraine, international partners, and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, a propagandist Anatolii Sharii who distorted information about Ukraine and probably acted on behalf of foreign hostile organizations, was detained.
"This detention is another evidence that every traitor of Ukraine will sooner or later receive a deserved punishment. It is inevitable," the Security Service of Ukraine.
The detainee is charged with the following articles:
- High treason;
- Violation of equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, religious beliefs, disability, and other grounds.
Evidence of his pro-Ukrainian position and subversive activities against the security of Ukraine is the nature of the information content of his YouTube channel, Facebook account, etc. Experts have confirmed the presence of these components. We remind you of the unequivocally propagandistic nature of the content and incitement to hatred against people because of their race, religion, health, Facebook and YouTube of Sharii were blocked in Ukraine.
It should be reminded that Shariy started subversive activities before 2012, and in 2012 he left Ukraine, explaining that president Yanukovych was persecuting him. Sharia was granted refugee status. Sanctions were imposed on Shari last year, and he is wanted. On May 31, Lithuania stripped the propagandist of his refugee status and declared him a persona non grata.
