The Draft law on the state budget for 2022 increases scholarships for those who study in public educational institutions: institutes, universities, professional training schools. According to the state budget, academic and name stipends will be increased by more than 1.5 times. Students getting professional training will be able to receive 2.5 times more.
The named Presidential grant would be between $100.940 and $161.50. The level of financial support for students would depend on the type of institution.
The Cabinet scholarship will also increase:
- College grants — $91;
- In vocational institutions for junior professionals and bachelors, the amount of the benefit will be $110.85;
- In university, you can get almost $150.
A presidential payment and a Cabinet of Minister grants are only for diligent students. Not all Ukrainian students will be able to receive it.
But also for those on a contractual basis, the budget provides some increase in benefits. Their scholarship in 2022 will increase from $45 to $93.59. Postgraduate students, bachelors, and masters will receive $73.71 per month from the state.
The college and technical schools scholarship will be $55.42. The increased state assistance for students will amount to $70.84.
Such a step by the government encourages students to devote time to their studies rather than choosing between knowledge and work.
