The rating of the world's largest outsourcing IT companies includes 14 Ukrainian ones.
At the same time, the IT industry for the employment of developers in Ukraine uses a simplified taxation model: engineers and IT specialists are registered as sole proprietors and sign contracts with customers.
Only one product company made it to the top 10. All the rest are outsourcing companies.
List of 5 largest IT companies in Ukraine:
- Epam. The largest IT company in Ukraine is part of the international group Epam. There are offices in five cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia. More than 10 thousand specialists work in them. Income for 2020 is $3.8 billion.
- SoftServe. The Lviv company SoftServe was founded by two students who graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic university, Taras Kitsmei and Yaroslav Lyubinets. Now the offices of the company are located in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk. The company employs about 8 thousand employees.
- GlobalLogic. Its income last year amounted to $201 million, more than twice the income of SoftServe — the second-largest IT company in Ukraine. The net profit of Globallodzhik Ukraine LLC amounted to $10.2 million. GlobalLogic development centers are located in Europe, India, USA and Argentina. But Ukraine is one of the largest locations. The company's offices in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv and Mykolaiv employ 5.700 people. GlobalLogic is owned by the Canadian pension fund and the swiss investment fund Partners Group.
- Luxoft. The company was founded in 2000 by Russian Dmitry Loshchinin in Moscow as a subsidiary of the Russian IT company IBS. In 2019, Luxoft bought the American IT giant DXC Technology Co for $2 billion. In Ukraine, Luxoft has representative offices in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipro. The workforce is 3.500 specialists.
- Ciklum. This international company was founded in Kyiv in 2002 by the Danish Torben Maygaard, who sold it in 2015 to the American billionaire George Soros. The company is based in London. Branches are located in Great Britain, Switzerland, Denmark, Belarus, Pakistan and Ukraine. More than 2.700 people work in Ukrainian offices. For 2020, Siklum LLC received $117 million in revenue and $1.8 million in profit.
