On March 27, Oleh Ustenko, adviser to the President of Ukraine, announced that after the end of the war, Russia would pay indemnities and reparations to Ukraine for decades.
“It is clear that the funds seized in Russia may not be enough for our full recovery. Plus, there will be additional lawsuits against the Russian Federation. Here, indemnities and reparations come into force, which, by decision of the international court, Russia will be paid, but this will take place over a long period of time. Why an extended period of time? Because the Russian economy is unlikely to come out of this crisis that it is in for several decades. There is a question of how this will happen, but if you remember post-war Germany, after the Second World War they also paid reparations and indemnities for several decades," he said.
Part of these preparations will go to the creation of a new Mriia aircraft.
